Impact of COVID 19 on Gender inequality in Australia
COVID 19 And Its Impacts On Gender Inequality and Domestic violence in Australia
COVID 19, a horrendous disaster, has led to a deep wound in many countries because of domestic violence and gender inequality, including Australia. Australians were also affected by the flu, but the Australian Government knows the cure because, in such a scenario, Australia feels few policies need to be scrutinized. Thus, On 17 October 2022, the Australian, state and territory governments released the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children in the year 2022–2032.
It ( Australian National Research Organization) was established as a national research body to bring together research on domestic and family violence and sexual assault across the country.
To increase women's workforce participation and to respond to the G20 commitments of 2014, Australia is providing for new financial literacy projects for women and is working to improve 'assistance for domestic violence ,'small business reforms' and deliver 'new opportunities for women' and give new reforms to reduce gender inequality.
Australia strongly encourages the implementation of measures that halt women's violence and gender inequality because only men of quality respect women's equality.
Australia would like to engage with other member nations to build consensus on the issues.
